In Baie d'Urfe before heading up north, Graeme is looking out the front door at...
...the LAWN MOWER guy.
Graeme is helping Grandma in the kitchen.
Lunch Time
Graeme is a happy boy.
Out for a boat ride with Great Aunt Heather and Daddy.
Grandpa and Brian are along too.
Leaves in the background.
This was the leaf weekend. Unfortunately, the sun was behind clouds for most of the time.
I like the contrast of the conifer against the colours.
Heather did NOT want her picture taken while being buffeted by the wind.
Graeme is enjoying driving the boat
Higher angle to see the leaves.
I like the "red to orange" transition on the tree nestled in among the evergreens.
Here Graeme gets to use the wheel
Some nice oranges. ("ORANGE" is currently Graeme's favorite colour.)
Sue is visible at the top of the stairs at Coombe End.
I like this look for steps
Grandpa and Graeme at Coombe End
Fayo is resting on the driveway.
The sun came out for a moment, causing the leaves to glow.
Another shot of Grandpa and Graeme
Heidi and Mitchell show up with...
...Briana and Brian. Great smile Briana!
Graeme on a bench. That's a smile, not a grimace.
On Sunday morning, Graeme, Grandpa, and Daddy, attended a memorial service for Doug Lloyd down at the landing. (set of photos)
Brian down at the landing
Nice leaves
Rich colours.
Deep reds
Yup, more leaves.
Doug (Daddy), Brian, and Jim (Grandpa), go for a hike up to "Beaver Lake".
Mushrooms on a log
We found it!
Looking down the lake
Stitched Panorama of Beaver Lake
An ancient beaver dam blocks this side of the lake.
Jim standing on the boggy edge of the lake
Doug, in front of the camera for once.
Looking across the largest part of Beaver Lake
Zooming in, you can make out a beaver lodge across the lake.
The fall colours make the evergreens look like they're on fire!
Climbing over beaverly-chewed logs
Done with this tree, the beaver has felled one on top of it.
Jim crossing the main beaver dam
And Brian crossing the dam
Group shot, after we crossed the beaver dam
Jim at the edge of the lake with a beaver lodge visible behind him.
Crossing another beaver dam
Colours, nests, trees, water.
Beauty shot: driftwood and fall colours
There is a much older beaver dam behind us here. Just on the other side of those evergreens is the current dam from three pictures ago. You can see the old water level on these rocks.
Close-up of the moss on a huge boulder
We suddenly stepped out into a recently-logged area. How startling/depressing.
Back on Bark Lake, we're done our hike.
Returning to the cottage.
Is Graeme looking for our intrepid hikers to return?
Licking the whipped cream beater
Brian is ready for dinner
"Cuddles?"
These things are neat!
Woodpecker on the birch tree out front. (100% crop)
Cleaning and straightening the backup motorboat prop.
Graeme and Grandma looking out over the water. At least one of them is NOT contemplating a swim.
Our for a quick ride around the bay
Some nice colours just down the shore from our dock.
Kristen brought some flowers from her work
Nice shot of Kristen
Diving! ...
Off Graeme goes...
Success!
