1998 is the first year for which we have a reasonable number of scanned photos. All are scans from analog cameras, so the quality isn't up to today's (2003) standards. It's interesting: Only a five years have past, and yet already I'm sure that there used to be more photos in some of these groups. Digital photos may not degrade in quality, but they can get lost over time.
