19 January 2004 - Intro

This Us 2004 page is starting out inspired by the format we used for Graeme's 2003 month-to-month pages, but it's a bit more free form than that.

We're taking a top-down approach now, mostly because the layout software lends itself to that. So for the most recent photos, you'll want to scroll to the bottom of this page.

6 April 2004

I while back an email was circulating around pointing to a site where a guy called "Japala" had posted photos of his "mouse mod" which he called the "Cryo Mouse". If you're looking for the original Cryo Mouse, please check out Project Cryo on his site [MetkuMods].

I loved the look and recently I happened on a spare optical mouse. A quick trip to Radio Shack for a blue LED, and I was in business.

Here is my page describing my first hardware mod: The Cryo Mouse.

12 April 2004 - Easter Monday

Graeme's daycare was closed today, so Jenn and Doug took a "family day".

Our friend Nissan joined us. We visited Kensington Market (Toronto), saw cool things, ate tasty food, and generally had a fun day.

24 Apr 2004 - Swimming at the Y

John and Shirley were visiting this weekend. On Saturday we walked over to the Waterdown YMCA for a swim. Graeme loves the water.

03 May 2004 - Friendship Fun Care Party

Friendship Fun Care, Graeme's day care, hosted their 5 year anniversary today. Although it was a cold, Graeme appeared to have fun. The ponies were a bit... intimidating... mind you. (note from Doug: Gentlest ponies ever)

May 2004 - The Robin's Nest

Just outside our front door...

May 2004 - In and around home

Here are some photos of Graeme from the month of May.

01 July 2004 - Canada Day

On Canada Day we went to Guelph and joined up with Johnathan, Julie, Daniel, and Jonathan's parents. Both Julie and Jenn surprised each other with news of their new pregnancies.

05 Aug 2004 - da Vinci Project

Doug went to the unveiling of the Canadian X-Prize contender the "da Vinci Project"'s space ship "Wild Fire". A once in a lifetime chance - how often do you see space ships under construction?

23 Oct 2004 - The Pumpkin Patch

Local farm, Frootogo, has a pick-it-yourself pumpkin patch. Basically, it's an excuse for a hay ride. Graeme loved the tractor. We picked out a pumpkin, and fun was had by all.

The link contains a plethora of Graeme pictures being cute.

31 Oct 2004 - Halloween

Graeme had fun with Halloween this year. He helped carve the pumpkin, went trick-or-treating, and ate (a very small amount of) candy.

And the tradition continues!

21 Nov 2004 - RBG Boardwalk

We go for a stroll along the Botanical Garden's boardwalk several times a year. It's a great place for birding which was the focus of our photography today.

We saw a downy woodpecker, a few white breasted nuthatches, a cardinal, some ducks, and a lot of chicadees.

11-12 Dec 2004 - Graeme's Birthday Weekend

Graeme's 2nd birthday is on December 14th, so we celebrated this weekend. Grammy and Granddad came down to visit, and helped us pick out our Christmas tree. Julia and Tom came over to share some cake.
